Reflections: East Dart river at Bellever Forest, Dartmoor National Park

£20.00

I was struck by the reflections created by the enormous conifer forest on the river bank, as it appeared to divide the river in half where the opposite side reflected the sky. The composition makes an unusual illustration, one that I felt I just had to draw!

The East Dart river runs through the beautiful Bellever Forest on Dartmoor. It is a beautiful site, popular with tourists in the summer but an ideal location for enjoying the grazing Dartmoor ponies, peaceful river and picturesque forest views all year round.

Illustrated from the river bank looking downriver, away from Bellever’s clapper bridge alongside the forest of towering conifer trees.

My Local Landmarks series are a collection of hand-drawn illustrations that I have chosen to draw because they mean something to me - maybe I just love a building or the character, or have memories of fun family trips there, or I think they represent my home county of Devon in an interesting way.

I have illustrated them in pencil then pen and ink, with all the characterful features explored in beautiful detail.

This print will be treasured for years to come and will certainly make a talking point!

A4 sized high quality prints, supplied unframed so you can frame them to suit your interior.
